Plein Air Paint Out

Nationally recognized plein air artists have been selected to capture the allure of the Florida's Forgotten Coast with paint and canvas. Artists will be painting on the beach, across the marsh, beside the lakes and throughout the streets of waterfront towns from Mexico Beach, Windmark, Port St. Joe, Cape San Blas, Apalachicola, Eastpoint, St. George Island, Carrabelle, and inland at Wewahitchka.

Wewahitchka Relay for Life

Our event is scheduled for May 9th and 10th at the Honeyville Park. The Survivor Lap and Kickoff will be at 6pm. Our Survivor Supper will be held at Honeyville Methodist at 4:30pm on May 9th. At the event there will be a volleyball tournament, carnival style games, music, chance drawings, food, and a lot of fun. Vision Bank will have a chance drawing on a Mother's Day Basket. Taunton Truss is creating a Hope Book that will be displayed in the local library. This book will have 12x12 pages with photos and stories of cancer survivors and victims. The cost per page is $15. Martha Tidwell or Abby Taunton are the contact persons (Taunton Home Center). We have 2 corporate sponsors, Gulf Coast Electric Cooperative and UPS. Tupelo Honey Festival

The 2008 Tupelo Honey Festival will be May 17, 2008 from 9am to 4pm CT at Lake Alice Park in Wewahitchka. There will be plenty of featured crafts, food such as catfish lunches by Cooperative Extension Service, barbeque lunches, grouper lunches, oriental meals, funnel cakes, cotton candy, sno-balls, drinks, live music, petting zoo, souvenirs, exhibits, train rides, live plants and LOTS OF TUPELO HONEY.
