The Dixie Belle Motel is a clean, comfy '50's style slice of roadside America in Port St Joe, Florida.  We're conveniently located on scenic U. S. Highway 98 between downtown Port St Joe and the unspoiled white sand beaches of Florida's "Forgotten Coast."

Fishing is primo, however, if you enjoy the beach, (only 1/4 mile from our front door),  boating, snorkling and scuba diving, canoeing and kayaking, exploring nature, unique shopping, good eating, history or just laying back and relaxing, the Dixie Belle is located right in the center of it all.  Cape San Blas, #1 beach in the US in 2002 is just a 1/2 hour drive.Apalachicola, a charming, historic town is only 30 miles to the east.  A must for oyster fans!

Panama City, a Gulf Coast tourist mecca, is a short 45 minute drive west.

Our rates are very reasonable and vary with the season.  October special, standard room $49.  All major credit cards are accepted.

We have 10 rooms, most with 2 double beds, one king bed room and 3 full kitchen units, the largest of which sleeps 6.  To amuse ourselves this off season, we're renovating with "theme" rooms.  Already done are the Tiki, Orient Express, Safari, Dolphin, Blue Hawaii and Lighthouse rooms.  On the drawing board are  Nascar and Sportsman  plus more to be announced later.

All rooms have cable TV, NEW FREE WiFi, (Some with mini fridge, microwave, coffee makers),  free local phone, heat and air conditioning and above all the cleanliness you deserve.   There's parking at your door and plenty of extra room for trailered boats. Outside outlets allow you to charge boat batteries.

Dan constructed a "state of the art" fish cleaning station (with a refrig/freezer) & free boat wash area.  We invite you to enjoy the adjacent shaded deck and barbeque grill.  It's the perfect spot to relax at the end of the day.

In addition to in room coffee, we serve coffee every morning in the lobby.  We've been told by our guests that our Louisiana dark roast is the best coffee they've had on the road!
