WHAT

The 11th Annual Independence on the Coast Celebration is a free, family oriented event that offers fun for everyone. The event includes children’s activities, live entertainment, a parade, a petting zoo for the kids, great food and fireworks!  The setting for the event is ideal –  Frank Pate Park on beautiful St. Joseph's Bay. After dark, the fireworks can be seen from either of our Waterfront Parks – Frank Pate and Jetty, or almost anywhere along the bay -  the fireworks shine brightly over St. Joseph's  Bay.

Attendees spend the entire day with neighbors, friends and family! The Second Annual Kiddie Car Parade and Celebration appeal to people of all ages and interests. The event is in its 11th year and is known all over the region to have one of the best fireworks shows in Northwest Florida. This is a great community event, with its entertainment, delicious foods and great atmosphere.

WHERE      

The festival will take place in historic Port St. Joe.  On Friday, July 3rd there will be shopping in Downtown Port St Joe, and with the Recent grant  incentives provided by the Port St. Joe Redevelopment Agency, the stores on Reid and Williams Avenue have taken on a renewed and updated look.
 
On Saturday, July 4th, Frank Pate Park will be filled with vendors, there will be children's activities, and more all day.   Port St. Joe has always been a city of homes and families. Its historic downtown is filled  with businesses – some serving the community for many years and some brand new. Port St. Joe has something for everyone!

WHEN         

Independence on the Coast takes place from 10 am until after the Fireworks On Saturday Night, Saturday, July 4th.  The fireworks will start about 15 minutes after dark and can best be seen from the Jetty Park or St. Joe Marina area.
