Step back in time to the Dixie Belle Motel, a clean, comfy '50's style slice of roadside America in Port St Joe, Florida. We're conveniently located on scenic US Highway 98 and the unspoiled white sand beaches of Florida's "Forgotten Coast." Fishing is primo, however, if you enjoy the beach, (less than 1/4 mile from our front door,) boating, snorkling and scuba diving, canoeing and kayaking, exploring nature, unique shopping, good eating, history or just laying back and relaxing, the Dixie Belle is located right in the center of it all. Cape San Blas, #1 beach in the US in 2002 is just a 1/2 hour drive. Apalachicola, a charming, historic town is only 30 miles to the east. A must for oyster fans! Panama City, a Gulf Coast tourist mecca, is a short 45 minute drive northwest. Our rates are very reasonable and vary with the season. We accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover. We have 10 rooms, all non-smoking, most with 2 double beds, one king bed room and 3 full kitchen units, the largest of which sleeps 6. All rooms are brightly decorated with a beachy vibe. Due to popular demand, we have designated one room (#3) as a pet friendly room because it has a full kitchen and a back door. Pets should be under 25 lbs and well trained. There is a refundable $50 pet deposit. Your pet must be leashed when outside and if left alone in the room it must be crated. Rooms have free WiFi, cable TV, local phone, small fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, heat and air conditioning and above all the cleanliness you deserve. The parking is at your door and there's plenty of room for trailered boats. A number of boat ramps are close by. Boaters and fisherman will find a free boat wash area out front and a free fish cleaning station behind the motel. We invite you to enjoy the adjacent shaded deck and barbeque grill.
